Key TakeawaysAt a Glance
  • Single chambers are simpler and cheaper to site; double chambers offer capacity for shared or busier sessions.
  • The compact Oxa Mini fits tighter rooms at 1,500 mm long.
  • Check ATA options, oxygen flow rate and door type, not just the footprint.
  • Always confirm local regulations and operator requirements before choosing.

Start with people and bookings

The first question is not 'which chamber?', it is 'how many people will use it at once, and how many sessions a day?' A boutique studio doing a handful of one-to-one appointments needs something different from a longevity centre with a full calendar.

If you are new to the category, read our hyperbaric chamber guide first, especially the sections on regulation and training.

The line-up, side by side

Oxa Cube Solo: 1 person, 2.0 ATA, 1,900 × 900 × 1,950 mm, 10 L/min oxygen generator, acrylic door.
Oxa Cube Duo: 2 people, 2.0 ATA, 2,000 × 1,800 × 1,900 mm, 15 L/min oxygen generator.
Oxa Mini: 1 person, 2.0 ATA, 1,500 × 900 × 1,950 mm, 15 L/min, compact for smaller rooms.
Oxy 1: single seat, 1.5 or 2.0 ATA, 10 L/min, custom colours and an optional red-light version.
Oxy 2: two seats, 1.5 or 2.0 ATA, 15 L/min, custom colours and an optional red-light version.
Practical Tip

Ask for the full specification sheet for your chosen model. Door material, cabin interior and the oxygen generator's size and weight all affect installation.

Single vs double

A single chamber is quieter to run and easier to fit, and each session is private and personal. A double chamber lets two people share a session, which suits couples, friends or a busy centre that wants more capacity from one room.

Think about staffing, too. More capacity needs the same trained operator. For a space with limited footfall, a single chamber is usually the right start.

The client experience in each format

A single chamber feels private and personal, which suits one-to-one appointments and premium pricing. A double chamber feels social, which suits couples or friends. The cabin interior, with its sofa, upholstery, lighting and intercom, is designed to feel more like a quiet lounge than a machine.

Think about arrival and exit too. Clients need a calm, unhurried moment before and after each session, so plan a small waiting area close by rather than a corridor.

What the spec numbers mean for you

ATA: the pressure rating. The Oxa chambers are rated 2.0 ATA, and the Oxy 1 and Oxy 2 are offered at 1.5 or 2.0 ATA.
Oxygen flow (L/min): the generator's output, 10 L/min for single units and 15 L/min for double and some compact models.
Oxygen concentration: the generator supplies about 93% ± 3% oxygen. Cabin oxygen concentration is listed at 21–25%.
Noise: internal noise of 45 dB or less and external 58 dB or less. Check this if the chamber sits next to a quiet treatment room.
Dimensions and weight: include the generator, roughly 450 × 520 × 870 mm and 75 kg.

Planning the purchase

Do not buy on size alone. Start with regulation and operator availability, then room and power, then capacity. Walk through the room needs in setting up a hyperbaric oxygen room safely and the principles in the hyperbaric chamber guide.

If you are weighing it against other investments for the same budget, compare it with the equipment in a recovery lounge, such as heat, cold and compression. A chamber is a premium add-on rather than a starting point for most venues.

Ask about delivery routes and warranty terms, which we cover in our buying guide. And browse the Air & Oxygen category to see current models.

Practical Tip

Measure the door, the corridor and the lift before you order. A modular cabin helps, but the generator and compressor are still heavy.

When compact makes sense

The Oxa Mini is for rooms where length is the constraint. It is not 'portable' in the sense of being carried around. It is still a pressurised steel cabin with a generator, so you plan it like any other installation.

Whichever model you choose, plan the supporting space. Our room set-up guide lists everything, and the recovery lounge guide shows how a chamber fits into a wider business plan.

Frequently asked questions

What is the difference between Oxa and Oxy chambers?

Both are hyperbaric oxygen chambers. The Oxa Cube and Mini models are rated 2.0 ATA, while the Oxy 1 and Oxy 2 are available at 1.5 or 2.0 ATA with custom colours and an optional red-light version.

Which hyperbaric chamber suits a small studio?

A single-user chamber such as the Oxa Cube Solo or the more compact Oxa Mini, provided you can meet regulatory, space and operator requirements.

How loud is the chamber?

Internal noise is listed at 45 dB or below and external noise at 58 dB or below, based on the supplied specifications.

Can two people use a hyperbaric chamber together?

Yes, in the two-seat models such as the Oxa Cube Duo and Oxy 2, in line with the operator's procedures and local regulations.
